Technics | SY1010 |
Description | The Technics SY-1010 is a 1 oscillator analog synthesizer manufactured in 1979. It is a 1 everything affair. 1 VCO, 1 VCA, 1 LFO, and 1 Filter and they all share the 4 built in sliders for sound editing. The unit is solidly built within a sturdy plastic casing. For a simple synthesizer it offers some surprising features despite it's limit of flexibility. The LFO only has a sine wave but can control the Filter, Voltage Controller Amplifier, as well pitch. The unit also features keyboard controlled voltage which allows the keyboard to opne and close the filter very much like key tracking by modern standards. The unit output is mono but offers 3 different outputs. A stabdard 1/4" out put with a hi/low switch for interfacin with an organ or amplifier. A pair of RCA outputs. One for HI output and one for LOW output. The keyboard is a 32 keybed made of plastic. |

Velocity | As with a piano, the harder you hit a key, the louder the sound, unlike most organs which always produce the same loudness no matter how hard you hit a key. | Aftertouch | Pressing a key after you activated it. Channel Aftertouch, no matter which key, it will send a Channel message. Poly Aftertouch, sends the pressure per key instead of the whole channel. |
Values for OSC, LFO, Filter, Envelope are per voice unless stated otherwise. |
