Multivox | MX-3000 |
Description | The Multivox MX-3000 is a combination of 3 synths in one. A monophonic Bass-synth. This synth is capable of 3 kinds of bass-sounds: soft, medium & sharp, and only playable on the lowest 2 octaves. It has portamento with adjustable speed and can select 3 types of preprogrammed envelope generators: -ADR -ADSR -Hold Only the Release is adjustable. Next there is a polyphonic (String)Synth. This synth has a polyphony of 61 and contains 8 presets which you can alter with the onboard filters. Presets are: Soft Bass (with adjustable volume), Wood, Brass, Reed, String, Piano, Honky Tonk & Harpsichord. The last 3 presets are velocity sensitive which is adjustable. The polysynth contains an LFO for VCO as well for VCF. The string section is not a real polyphonic synthesizer but similar to the ARP Qudra with a Divide Down Oscillator. The VCO contains a glide/bend function which can be switched off and LFO-modulation with delay is possible. The VCF contains CutOff, Resonance, EG-intensity and LFO Modulation. There are 2 preprogrammes EG-settings, ADR & ASR. You can also bypass these settings and use your own Attack and Decay/Release settings. Also present are a Ensemble-mode which thickens the sound and a Fullrotor which is actually a kind of Phaser. Speed and intensity are adjustable. Thirdly there is a monophonic lead synth This synth is only playable on the upper 3 octaves. The VCO contains of sawtooth, square, pulse, triangle waves and noise. Portamento is possible and the waves can be transposed to 3 octaves (Low, Medium, High). LFO-modulation is also possible. The VCF contains an ADSR, CutOff, Resonance, EG-intensity (for the VCF-ADSR) and LFO Modulation. The VCA contains an ADSR, LFO-Modulation and a Selektor which can be switched from the normal ADSR to Repeat or Hold. The LFO is available in sawtooth, sinus and square. Every section has it's own volume and output an can be switched on or off, so it's possible to use all 3 sections at once. All in all makes this synth a truly unique one, both in it's possibilities as in the sounds. |

Velocity | As with a piano, the harder you hit a key, the louder the sound, unlike most organs which always produce the same loudness no matter how hard you hit a key. | Aftertouch | Pressing a key after you activated it. Channel Aftertouch, no matter which key, it will send a Channel message. Poly Aftertouch, sends the pressure per key instead of the whole channel. |
