Cheetah | MS800 |
Description | The Cheetah MS800 Digital Wave Synthesizer was a digital rack mountable synthesizer module from UK company Cheetah released in 1989. Considered a very affordable synthesizer sound module, the unit offered 4 oscillators per voice with 256 factory preset sounds using a a variety of on board samples.Unfortunately for the user the interface made the unit difficult to program from the front panel. The savvy user would do well with a software editor or sysex box.Another feature the MS800 offered was a primitive way of doing wave sequencing similar to the Korg Wavestation but more so like the commodore 64 method from the late 1980's. |
