Description | The Akai Professional S1100 Stereo Digital Sampler was released with greatly improved features over the S1000 such as 24 bit internal processing, an optional effects board, a digital output, SMPTE interfacing, and, SCSI as a standard built in. The audio quality was the same as the S1000 with 16 bit stereo sampling and a 22 kz to 48 kz rates and 2 mb standard memory which can be expanded up to 32 mb. The unit also offers a built in effects send and return, 2 Envelope Generators, and an LFO. The unit can hold up to 200 samples with 100 programs and can be stored on the built in floppy drive that can read and write both 2DD and 2HD floppy disks. The display is a nice backlit 640x240 dot display. Multiple outputs offers a lot of flexibility with the unit particularly in the studio. |
